It’s 5:30 am and I’m up, with scratchy eyes and yawning. Trying to write, why? Its about the unbearable weight of choosing.
IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
No one cares if you ‘re up or rollover in bed. No one’s marking down if you’ve fudged on the commitments you've made to yourself.
Just because you happened to scribble down in a moment of clarity about where you want your life, or creative project to be in a week, or month, or year, doesn’t mean you have to do it, does it?
YOU'LL HAVE TO CARE
The universe isn’t going to tell you to get up, get going, and get it done. It’s 37 billion years old for goodness sake (give or take 37 millions years)! Way past needing to be impressed, so don’t expect a lot of feedback.
It’s really up to you, your creative project is important because you say it is. Your art, and act of creating it, is meaningful because your creating it makes it so. Creating in the face of a blank page or an empty stage is the moment before your big bang. The moment of your creation. And when you create you make sense of your world.
What are the ways you face up to the unbearable weight of choosing? What kinds of community do you scrabble together in the face of this weight?
